Start your New Year with a winter wonderland adventure on a GUIDED SNOWSHOE TREK! This introductory-level guided snowshoe trek will traverse Maybury State Park's beloved main "Hiking Trail Loop." Setting off from the 8 Mile Road trailhead, this 3.1 mile trip crosses the park's "wooded highlands," wildlife-dense marshlands, the picturesque Maybury Pond, and uncover the ruins of the Maybury Sanatorium. Snowshoes and poles are available for rent and will be fitted at the trailhead. Depending on departure time, we also strongly advise that snowshoe participants bring their own headlamp or rent one from Expedition Detroit for $5. Headlamps are reservable via our online checkout and payable at the trailhead. IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION BASED ON CONDITIONS, participants will have the option to (1) use booked session for a guided hike + receive credit towards another guided trip or (2) postpone reservation to another date.
