EXPEDITION OVERVIEW

Welcome to Pontiac Lake State Recreation Area in Waterford Township, Michigan! This moderate-level guided trail run leads intrepid adventurers to Pontiac Lake's primary hiking trail - a park favorite for non-mountain biking recreation. Starting from the main trailhead, this out-and-back cuts through the heart of Pontiac Lake's best geographic features: dense marshlands, mature forests, spacious grassland prairies, dramatic moraine hills, and, naturally, panoramic views of Pontiac Lake. Moderate trail runs are perfect for any runner training for a 10K, half-marathon, and even marathon distance race. With a guided and coached trail run, you will not only benefit from the experience of a knowledgeable guide, but also reap the physical benefits of running within one of the Detroit region's premiere trails.
